Sting in the Tale returns this summer with an exciting new production from Treehouse Theatre, launching the 2017 storytelling programme at the Allendale Centre in Wimborne, with:

‘Arthur - King of the Britons’

Among host venues this year,Wimborne Model Town, will be welcoming back Curly and Bubbles for an afternoon of stories, magic and puppet adventures.

The Priest House Museum and Garden Summer Fete will be the focal point for another storytelling treat on Saturday 5th August.

For the grown-ups, Colehill Community Library is hosting an audience participation storytelling event with a ‘Whodunnit’ evening in which the audience is given the opportunity to engage in the process of deduction throughout. Storyteller, Mike Rogers will provide the audience with clues along the way to guess what happens next....

East Dorset Heritage Trust presents Five-Thousand Cherry Stones, a story told by Graham Rogers based on the memoirs of his great uncle Fred Smith, a Stoker aboard HMS Jessamine during the First World War.

For the first time, The Reef in Colehill Lane will host a Sting in the Tale event, ‘The Magical Mystical Quilt’ with stories and quilt related art activities for the family with Jill Barr.

Sting in the Tale - a festival of stories takes place in and around Wimborne between 4th and 14th August.
